Excellent Sky Gallery was originally established in August, 1992 in the small mountain town of Kittredge, Colorado, just west of Denver. I owned and operated the gallery in that location through the summer of 1993. Excellent Sky Gallery & Empire Records has now re-opened as of June 18, 2004 in the historic mountain mining town of Empire, Colorado, 45 miles west of Denver and carries all my current work. I have added a record store, specializing in well-cared for used vinyl LPs, and the gallery is also Empire's only used bookstore. On the Web, Excellent Sky exists as a virtual online gallery and you may purchase artwork through the website; I ship worldwide.

To enter the virtual gallery use the links at left to view thumbnails of current artwork for sale - paintings or photography. And if you happen to be visiting or passing through Empire (on the way to Berthoud Pass and Winter Park), stop in & have a look around. The building is located at 5 E. Park Avenue (US 40) and is a historic landmark, built in 1864. Current gallery hours beginning Memorial Day weekend are: Saturdays, 10 a.m.- 6 p.m., Sundays, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. and by appointment (call 303-569-2576).

Up until this week, Excellent Sky also had what any art gallery/record store/bookstore needs - a gallery cat. But Elvis passed away on May 21st - he was 17.
